The Innovation Federal Credit Union ("Innovation") $2,500 No Essay Scholarships are sponsored and administered by Innovation, PO Box 1090, Station Main, Swift Current, SK, S9H 3X3. By participating in the contest, each entrant agrees to abide by and be bound by the Terms and Conditions. Entrants further agree to abide by and be bound by all decisions of Innovation which shall be final and binding, without right of appeal, in all matters relating to the Innovation No Essay Scholarships, including eligibility and/or disqualification of entries.
Entry Deadline
Innovation Federal Credit Union will accept entries until October 31st at 11:59 pm (CST) each year. Only entries submitted and received before the deadline will be accepted.
Eligibility
The contest is only open to: (i) students that are enrolled full-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate program at a Canadian accredited post-secondary educational institution (school) regardless of the student’s year of study and (ii) legal residents of Canada (except the province of Quebec) who are the age of majority or older at time of entry or have parental/guardian permission. Entrants are required to be an Innovation member. No purchase or payment is necessary to enter or receive a scholarship. Purchases or payments do not increase the odds of receiving a scholarship. The odds of receiving a scholarship depend on the number of eligible entries received before the entry deadline. Employees and immediate family members of Innovation and Innovation Wealth are ineligible to enter. This includes a spouse or common-law partner, dependent children, dependent children of a dependent child, parents or stepparents, parents or stepparents of the spouse or common-law partner, and guardians.
Conditions of Entry
Entries must be submitted on this page prior to the deadline. Entries submitted that do not comply with the Terms and Conditions may be disqualified at the discretion of Innovation. Innovation reserves the right to disqualify any individual who tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process, the operation of the contest, the contest webpage, violates these Terms and Conditions, or acts with intent to abuse, threaten, or harass any person involved in the contest. Invalid, incomplete, late, or undelivered entries will result in disqualification and are not the responsibility of Innovation. Limit of one entry per person. Entrants that attempt to submit more than one entry by using multiple email addresses, phone numbers, or identities will also be disqualified. Innovation reserves the right to terminate, suspend, or modify the contest, at any time and without notice or obligation if any factor or event arises that could interfere with the proper conduct, administration, or security of the contest as outlined by these Terms and Conditions.
How to Apply
Each eligible individual who completes the entry requirements to its entirety before the entry deadline will become an entrant. Each entrant is limited to one (1) entry per year and is only eligible to receive one (1) prize. Non-recipient entries will not be carried over to future contest draw periods. To enter and qualify, the entrant must visit this page to complete an entry form.
Prizes
There are a total of ten (10) $2,500 ($25,000) prizes available to be won during the contest draw period. Funds are not transferable. Innovation will not replace any lost or stolen prizes. The funds can be used to help cover the cost of tuition, books, housing, and any other education-related expenses. Innovation will not be responsible for tracking, managing, or overseeing the use of funds issued to the recipient.
Selection Process and Verification
A random draw will be conducted amongst all eligible entries received before the entry deadline. Recipients will be contacted via email within 30 days after the entry deadline. Only the successful recipients will be contacted.
To be declared a recipient, the entrant must complete the following within ten (10) business days of the initial contact by Innovation:

Provide an official Confirmation of Enrolment letter (valid within the contest draw period). *
Provide a selfie photo (JPEG file).
Complete a Declaration and Publicity Release Form in form and content satisfactory to Innovation.
* A Confirmation of Enrolment letter is an official document issued by the post-secondary educational institution (school), verifying your full-time enrolment status. The Confirmation of Enrolment letter must be valid within the contest draw period. A Letter of Acceptance, Proof of Paid Tuition, or Transcripts will not be accepted.
Upon verification and confirmation to the satisfaction of Innovation, the recipients will be posted to Innovation’s social media channels, as well as on this page.
Inability to reach the selected recipient using the information provided (notification returned an error as undeliverable) in the entry form, failure to respond to the email notification, failure to verify compliance, to correctly answer the skill-testing question, provide a valid Confirmation of Enrolment letter, provide selfie photo, or complete the requested declaration and publicity release form all within ten (10) business days may result in disqualification and forfeit of the prize. In this instance, an alternative recipient will be randomly selected (this process will be repeated until the prize is awarded).
Income Tax Form Issuance
The recipient will be issued a T4A for the current tax year. It is the sole responsibility of the recipient to ensure appropriate declarations for tax purposes if applicable.
Payment Disbursement
The prize funds will be disbursed to selected recipient(s) through a deposit via electronic funds transfer (EFT) to the Innovation account number provided within the initial entry form. The timing of prize payout will be made at Innovation’s sole discretion.
Limitations of Liability
By participating in this contest, entrants agree that Innovation and its affiliated and related companies, business partners, advertising and promotional agencies, prize suppliers, Instagram, and each of their respective directions, officers, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns and all others associated with the contest (Released Parties) have no liability whatsoever for, and release them from, any loss damage, injury, claim, or cause of actions to persons or property related or resulting from the contest or prize.
Entrants waive any right to claim ambiguity in these Terms and Conditions. The Released Parties are not responsible for the following errors that may occur in the administration of the contest, including information or announcements associated with the contest, recipient, or prize, and/or processing of the entries:
Incomplete or inaccurate information
Technical failures of any kind
Human error
Unauthorized human intervention
Any injury or damage to persons or property associated directly or indirectly with the contest
The receipt or misuse of the prize
Lost, deleted, or destroyed entries
If for any reason an entry is confirmed to have been erroneously deleted, lost, or otherwise destroyed or corrupted by Innovation, the entrant’s sole solution is to submit another entry in the contest, provided that the contest deadline has not expired.
Publicity
By entering the contest, the recipient authorizes Innovation to use their name, statement regarding the prize and other personal information detailed in the Declaration and Publicity Release Form without any compensation in announcements connected exclusively to the contest on social media, Innovation’s website, and any other media that Innovation deems appropriate.
Privacy
By entering this contest, the entrant agrees to Innovation’s collection, use, and retention of their personal information in accordance with Innovation’s Privacy Policy.
With an entrant’s expressed consent, Innovation may communicate with entrants in connection with the contest by phone, Short Message Service (SMS), and/or send entrants email updates regarding products, community events, and special offers. Entrants can withdraw their consent at any time by contacting Innovation at phone number or email address. Entrants also have the ability to unsubscribe in each marketing email.
Promotion
This contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), Snapchat, TikTok, or any other site or medium where information about this contest is promoted.
Governing Law
This contest is governed by the laws of the province of Saskatchewan and the laws of Canada. Each entrant agrees, to the extent permitted by law, that any judicial proceedings relating to any disputes, claims or causes of action arising out of or in connection with the contest shall take place in the province of Saskatchewan pursuant to the laws of that province.
