Send a Wire

Wires are sent to a person or business called a beneficiary. You’ll send your wire transfer directly to your beneficiary’s bank.

To send a wire, you must provide us with the following beneficiary information, preferably in the form of wire instructions provided by the receiving financial institution:

  • Full first and last name of your beneficiary or full beneficiary business name (including Ltd, Inc., Co.)
  • Beneficiary account number
  • Beneficiary bank information (bank name, branch and address;no PO boxes)
  • Full legal address (no PO boxes) of both the beneficiary and the sender
  • SWIFT/BIC, Route and Transit Numbers
  • Purpose of the transfer

Receive a Wire

To receive a wire, you’ll need to provide the following information to the sender:

  • Your full name
  • Your legal address (Note: this cannot be a PO Box)
  • Your 3-digit route number (ours is 889 which we’ve included on the form for you)
  • Your 5-digit transit number
  • Your 12-digit Innovation account number

  • You’ll see the transit number near the bottom of the details list.

Please note you can only recall or edit a wire if the funds are in transit to the beneficiary. You cannot recall a wire once it’s deposited to the beneficiary account.

We cannot trace incoming wires.  

Wires are processed within 24 hours. However, it could take up to 5 business days or longer to deliver depending on the country you’re transferring to.

If for any reason the wire is returned, it may be subject to loss of exchange determined by the current day’s buy rate.
