Save the date! GoGreen 2024 is taking place Friday, September 13th in Swift Current, SK.

Since its inception in 2009, this initiative has contributed to the planting of more than 3,500 trees and shrubs in our community!

About GoGreen

GoGreen is an annual event held in Swift Current, SK with a goal to beautify our community and minimize our carbon footprint. GoGreen 2024 is taking place on Friday, September 13th in partnership with Stark & Marsh and the City of Swift Current.

You can volunteer!

GoGreen is open to public volunteers that help with a variety of projects. Examples include tree and shrub planting, landscaping, pathway clean up, flower bed maintenance, and mulching.

Last year’s GoGreen brought approximately 90 volunteers together and we were able to plant a total of 675 trees and shrubs across 11 different project sites in our community.

Volunteer shifts are 9:00am-12:00pm and 1:00pm-4:00pm.

GoGreen Community BBQ

Our GoGreen 2023 community BBQ took place at Market Square over the noon hour, volunteers enjoyed a complimentary lunch and the general public was encouraged to make a $5.00 donation with all proceeds going to our local Salvation Army Food bank.

Thanks to the generosity of our participants, we were able to raise $547.60. Additionally, our community partner, S3 Group LTD, donated $1,000.00 in support of the GoGreen event. In total, we were able to donate $1,547.60 to the Salvation Army Food Bank.
