Innovation Credit Union extends its support to British Columbia

Innovation Credit Union is donating $5,000 in support of the British Columbia Floods and Extreme Weather appeal. After a summer of dangerous wildfires, many communities in British Columbia are now facing severe rainfall and flooding. Thousands of people have been left stranded. While a handful of Canadian Armed Forces members have been called in for additional aid, it is imperative that we step in to support British Columbia in this emergency.

As a proud member of the Canadian Credit Union Association (CCUA), Innovation is committing to help those suffering through these extreme weather conditions by joining with other credit unions to support the Canadian Red Cross. Innovation Credit Union urges you to contribute in any way you can as well.

“British Columbia is in a state of crisis and the devastation is widespread. It is up to us to help all those who are struggling right now,” says Innovation Credit Union CEO, Daniel Johnson. “We have close to 700 valued members living in BC and are committed to uplift their lives and the lives of all those who have been affected. Our contribution will go towards providing financial assistance, relief and recovery.”

Innovation recognizes the impact such environmental catastrophes can have on people, livestock, communities, and infrastructure. Climate change and environmental degradation are big issues that everyone must face together as a community. Daniel Johnson concludes, “it is imperative to extend our support to those who are going through such challenging times.”
