Innovation shows its support for CFS+ Program

Innovation Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce its participation in the CEO Pledge campaign, as part of the Computers for Schools Plus (CFS+) program. The CEO Pledge is a collaborative effort led by Microsoft Canada that commits some of Canada's leading businesses' used technology to the Government of Canada's Computers for Schools Plus Program. These machines are refurbished and given to underserved Canadians to help them participate in the digital economy.

Innovation is glad to be a part of such a long-standing campaign and is dedicated to keeping Canadians connected to the people, information, and resources that are most important to them. Innovation is committed to giving back to the communities it serves. Guided by their purpose and values, Innovation is passionate about supporting entrepreneurs and small businesses, young leaders as well as other local projects that are creating real impact. Through this pledge and its community investments, Innovation is determined to help build a Canada where everyone has access to the opportunities they need, to reach their full potential.

“We are proud to donate our used and refurbished technology to the CFS+ program,” says Innovation Federal Credit Union CEO, Daniel Johnson. “With this pledge, we hope to continue our endeavors of supporting our community, while contributing to more employability, skill development, and a positive environmental impact. The efforts of the CFS+ Program are far-reaching, and we are eager to work with them in a long-term nurturing relationship.”

The CFS+ Program has refurbished and redistributed over 1.7 million computers to schools, libraries, non-profit organizations, Indigenous communities, and low-income families since its inception in 1993. The program also provides valuable work experience to Canadian youth through paid internships. Interns help with the refurbishment of used technology while also learning important digital skills.
